Avenida de Mayo or May Avenue in English is an important avenue in Buenos
Aires that is a wonderful tourist destination in Argentina. This Avenue was named after the May Revolution (1810) and the same happened to Plaza de Mayo that is a very important square in Argentina since it has important cultural and historic value.Avenida de Mayo is said to be similar to some avenues in Madrid, Barcelona and Paris since it was inspired by Madrid’s Gran VÃa. There great building to admire and to visit. The architecture of the buildings located at this avenue is outstanding. It begins at Bolivar Street and extends 1,500 metres.In 1997 Avenida de Mayo was declared a national historic site.
